Q3 Central banks rate cuts, global economies shift focus
The U.S. Federal Reserve has initiated a monetary policy recalibration by significantly cutting interest rates, with more reductions expected. The European Central Bank (ECB) followed suit, reducing rates by 25 bps, as widely anticipated by the market. Meanwhile, Swedish inflation is easing sharply, and the Riksbank is expected to lower its policy rate during its upcoming meeting on the 25th of September. The question remains whether the Riksbank will opt for a 25 bps reduction or a more aggressive double cut.
